Homework: 12/3/08

General:  Study for Holocaust Terms Test on Friday.

Honors:  Your research papers are due tomorrow.  Refer to last post for further information.  I will not accept late papers!

ALL CLASSES:  If you wish to purchase a copy of Night by Elie Wiesel for use in class, and then donate it for future use, I will give you 10 bonus points on your Night Final Test, which is Tuesday December 9th.  Books are due on test day.

Homework: 12/1/08

December 1st, 2008

General:  Study for Holocaust Terms Test on Friday.  Everyone should have the handout of the vocabulary from class today and the test will be matching.  STUDY!

Honors:  You also need to study for Holocaust Terms Test on Friday.  Final draft of research paper is due THURSDAY.  Be on notice now, as I have already stated a lot in class, I will not accept late papers.  If you do not have your paper, printed out, in the manila envelope with all of your other materials, you will receive a zero for this assignment and it is worth 2 major test grades.  No matter how great your grade is now, you cannot afford to not turn in a paper.  Do not ask me to go and print out your paper at the beginning of class or try to hand in a flash drive or CD-R.  Be responsible and do not procrastinate.

4th Block Honors Students:

November 18th, 2008

Post comments here for questions regarding final research paper due December 4th.  I will check it nightly over Thanksgiving Break.

Break is over so comments are now closed.  Any questions you have should be addressed in class.

Homework: 11/18/08

November 18th, 2008

General:  Complete questions 1-12 pgs. 1058 after the selection we read in class, :”The Book of the Dead.”  Your assignment to replace a major test grade is due tomorrow.  I will not accept any late assignments, no exceptions.

Honors:  TYPED rough draft is due tomorrow.  This includes outline, body of paper, and works cited page.  If you do a good enough job on this, you will merely have to proofread, make corrections and turn in your final draft.  That would make for a very stress-free break!

Homework: 11/14/08

November 14th, 2008

General:  Finish reading “The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World” pg. 1009, if you did not do so in class.  Questions 1-10 pg. 1013 are due first thing Monday morning.  You must either copy the questions or write in complete sentences.

Honors:  Continue your work on your rough draft.  The typed rough draft is due next Wednesday and includes the outline.  Some students have been instructed to revise their outline before turning in the rough draft, so some of you have more work than others.

Remember, your extra assignment, the book report, that can be used to REPLACE a major test grade is due a week from today, November 19th.  I will not be accepting these assignments late.  This is a very important assignment if you are currently struggling in my class.  It can make the difference between passing and failing for some of you.  Take advantage of it and have no excuses at the end of the semester!
